2025 ICD Young Dentists Volunteer Grant 22nd Apr 2025

Applications are now open for the next Section VIII ICD “Young Dentists Volunteer Grant” which will be awarded in September 2025. The grant is a collaborative initiative with the New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA) and the Australian Dental Association (ADA) state branches.
The grant is awarded annually to a dentist in the Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific region with less than 10 years’ experience in clinical practice since graduation from dental school.
The value of the grant is up to $3,500 AUD to cover airfares, accommodation and other expenses directly related to a one or two week volunteer experience as approved by the ICD Board. Volunteer experiences are arranged with leaders of volunteer programs supported by Section VIII of ICD. The successful applicant will need to coordinate their attendance at the project leader’s guidance and arrange for suitable time off work. For the 2025 YDV grant, opportunities exist with programs in Cambodia, Nepal, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Papua New Guinea and Tonga.
