If you have concerns regarding the treatment you have received from your dentist, then the New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA) may be able to help.

If your dentist is a member of NZDA then you will be able to make use of our complaints services in resolving your concerns. You can check membership status by contacting a staff member at NZDA House, phone 09 579 8001.

This resource aims to reduce oral health inequality by offering WCTO service providers information and understanding to provide early anticipatory guidance about the prevention of Early Childhood Caries (ECC). The guide will enable WCTO services to continue to raise awareness, educate and promote oral health by providing clear and consistent oral health messages to all parents and caregivers and particularly families of children at risk of developing ECC.

It also has information on ‘Lift the Lip’ screening, including videos on how to conduct screening with different age groups. Additionally, you can order resources to encourage parents to ‘Lift the Lip’ at home.
