NZDA launched the Well Aware Together Framework in 2023. This webinar series is part of the ongoing support for our members, providing information, tools and advice to support their own wellbeing and that of their colleagues. The series will cover the topics: mental, social, physical and financial wellbeing, which are the key domains of dentist wellbeing.

Dr Penelope Jones BDS, MAFG, MIFG. Dental Surgeon and Feldenkrais Teacher

Dr Penelope Jones graduated from Sydney University Dental School and after having been in General Practice in Sydney and London for some years she went on to practice in a specialist Endodontic Practice in Sydney for over 25 years. In 1992 she completed 4 years of training at La Trobe University’s Lincoln Institute of Health Sciences in Melbourne to study human development , human movement and neuroplasticity and became a (Certified) Feldenkrais Practitioner and Teacher.

Kate and James met at Otago University, James finishing with a Bachelor in Human Nutrition and a Bachelor in Exercise Prescription & Management, and Kate finishing with a Bachelor of Laws. They then moved to Southland where James worked as a Personal Trainer and Kate as a solicitor. In 2019 they teamed up to open NTS Nutrition together, with James bringing in his nutrition knowledge and Kate her business background. At the end of 2020 they made the big move up to Whakatū (Nelson). Kate and James took NTS Nutrition with them and are now completely based online.. Our primary focus is on making

Dr Pauline Stewart B.Ed.,M.Ed, PhD and M.Ed (Counselling) Executive Officer/Founder: Family Drug Support Aotearoa New Zealand.

Pauline is a Registered Psychologist, with dual Counselling Psychology and Educational Psychology scopes of practice. She has membership of New Zealand Psychological Society and the New Zealand Association of Counsellors. Pauline was awarded a KiwiBank New Zealand Local Hero Regional Award in 2023. Six years ago Pauline founded Family Drug Support Aotearoa New Zealand (FDS). Pauline also acts as an expert independent voice for policy change on substance use issues. She has recently presented papers in Australia, and also 3 papers in Rotterdam, The Netherlands to 100 delegates from 25 countries

Dr Hillary Bennett Partner - Leading Safety

Hillary is a psychologist with 45 years’ experience working as both an internal and external health and safety consultant to a wide range of private, government, and non-government organisations across many sectors in New Zealand and Australia. In 2011, she co-founded Leading Safety. Hillary has a strong focus on designing mentally healthy work. She developed the Business Leaders’ Health and Safety Forum guides Mental Health and Wellbeing at Work and Protecting Mental Wellbeing at Work.
