Mo Aldujaili, Orthodontist Specialist Orthodontist

Mo Al-Dujaili is a Specialist Orthodontist whose everyday clinical practice focuses particularly on orthodontics for children, early intervention modalities and functional therapy. He qualified from the University of Otago and practices at Shakespeare Orthodontics in Epsom, Takapuna and Warkworth. A firm believer in maintaining high clinical standards, Mo is affiliated with the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (Sydney), Otago University and the Auckland University of Technology. He holds numerous national and international professional memberships as well as a member of the New Zealand Association of Orthodontists, the New Zealand Dental Association, and the American Association of Orthodontists, as well as a Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontics. He has presented numerous orthodontic topics at various conferences both nationally and internationally, including: The International Association of Dental Research, The European Orthodontic Society, The Australasian Begg Society of Orthodontics, the New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the New Zealand Dental Association conferences.

Abdul Aziz Specialist Endodontist

Abdul is an excellent communicator, he is very approachable and able to address all levels of endodontic competencies. He combines an abundance of knowledge and experience with a friendly and often humorous presentation style that is professional, insightful, easy to follow and makes Endodontics enjoyable. Dr Aziz graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 1995. Following a successful 11-year career in general practice in New Zealand and Australia, Abdul followed his passion and completed a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry (DClinDent) in Endodontics at the University of Otago. He has since practiced as a specialist Endodontist in Melbourne and Auckland. Among Abdul's many academic and scientific achievements he has presented internationally at the European Society of Endodontology, presents Endodontic seminars in NZ and overseas, published articles in international and local endodontic journals and authored a chapter in the text book ‘Methods of Molecular Biology’. Abdul is a member of the New Zealand Society of Endodontology, New Zealand Dental Association, and is currently an Executive Member of the Auckland Dental Assoc. Abdul is also a founding and executive member of the charitable organisation Smiles for the Pacific and is the Auckland convenor for the NZDA Graduate Professional Development Program. His broad academic, scientific and clinical background as well as cheerful personality and professional presentation skills will undoubtedly help you improve your patient treatments and outcomes.

Steve Shepherd BSc, MSc, PhD (in-complete)

Steve completed his BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry in 1984 in Otago and received a scholarship from Gene Stock NZ to study a PhD in Immunobiology. In 1989 moved to the UK to work with Septodont developing training in Dental Anaesthesia in Endodontics. Much of this time was devoted to developing training in basic skills in Endodontics. Developing courses with Key Endodontists in the UK and Europe as well as development of Endodontic Surgical DVD training courses. Attending many major Endodontic meetings around the world for the past 20 years and working with many major Universities and Research institutions developing research into Endo File development and root canal sealers. Having setup Endo training in most of Asia for the past 15 years – I’m really excited to develop clinically relevant Endo treatment strategies for Henry Schein New Zealand.

Kim Tatham BDS

Kim graduated from Otago in 1997. Following graduation she worked as a dental house surgeon in Lower Hutt Hospital Dental and Oral and Maxillofacial Department, followed by Wellington Hospital Dental Department. She then spent 5 ½ years working and travelling in the UK. Returning to New Zealand in 2005 she was in private Dental Practise in Te Awamutu. During this time she has also held roles with Tipu Ora Charitable Trust and Lakes DHB as a Community Dentist and Principle Dental Officer. She has previously been an NZDA Dental Mentor for new graduates. Prior to this she was the Waikato/BOP Graduate Development Coordinator for 5 years. She has been a Board Member of the New Zealand Institute of Minimal Intervention Dentistry since 2008 and previous past President. Kim and her husband Mat opened Piopio Dental in August 2017 to provide care for the local rural community and to allow a better balance of work and running around after their 2 kids, Max and Zoe.
