Dr Richard Cobb

Dr Richard Cobb BDS MBBS MFDS(Eng.) MRCS(Eng.) DHMSA FRCS(OMFS)

Richard is a London trained Specialist Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon based in Auckland. He qualified with distinction in both Medicine & Dentistry and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS). His medical and surgical training were completed in London where he trained within several prestigious London units including King’s College Hospital, Guy’s Hospital, St. George’s Hospital and the Royal London Hospital. Richard then travelled to Melbourne, Australia and completed an Advanced Surgical Fellowship in Orthognathic Surgery (Corrective Jaw Surgery), TMJ (Jaw-Joint) Surgery and Facial Trauma Reconstruction before moving to New Zealand.

Dr Ryan Smit

Dr Ryan Smit BDS MBChB MRACDS(PDS) FRACDS(OMS)

Ryan is a New Zealand-trained Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He grew up in Christchurch before moving to Dunedin to study dentistry at the University of Otago (UoO), and then medicine at UoO Wellington. During his early medial training he gained broad experience, working in numerous specialties including General Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Ear, Nose and Throat surgery, Orthopedic Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery throughout Waikato Hospital and Hawkes Bay Hospital. Ryan completed his advanced surgical training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Christchurch and Auckland, working and training in Christchurch, Auckland, and Middlemore Hospitals. In addition to his private practice, Ryan works part-time as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Auckland City, Middlemore and Starship Hospitals.
