NZRC CORE Immediate

CORE Immediate is tailored for dentists who do not administer sedation but are responsible for managing and overseeing resuscitation events. Certification requires participants to demonstrate proficiency in simulated practical skills, achieved through a combination of self-directed pre-course learning and hands-on, face-to-face training. Skills Stations: The course covers essential skills, including Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, AED usage, Airway Management, and Medical Emergency scenarios.

Learning outcomes

CORE Immediate Course Outcomes Upon completing the CORE Immediate course, participants will be equipped with the skills and confidence to manage medical emergencies in their clinical environment. The course outcomes include: • Understanding the importance of teamwork and communication during resuscitation events. • Performing Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and using an AED effectively. • Demonstrating airway management techniques and the application of oxygen therapy. • Responding to medical emergencies with competence, including basic assessment and intervention. • Applying the knowledge gained through simulated emergency scenarios, reinforcing the practical skills needed in real-life situations.
