Dr Stephen Chu

Dr. Stephen Chu received his undergraduate degree from Brown University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He obtained his Master of Science degree in Restorative Dentistry and completed the Advanced Education Program in Fixed Prosthodontics/Periodontal Prosthodontics at the University of Washington, in Seattle. Dr. Chu subsequently became a board-certified dental technician in ceramics and obtained a master’s degree in dental technology from the New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD). He is the former Director of the Continuing Education Program in Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry at NYUCD and Director of Aesthetic Education at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine He is also a former Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at NYUCD. Dr. Chu has authored seven textbooks in the area of color, aesthetics, and implant dentistry and has contributed chapters to several others. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles in the dental literature and currently serves as the associate editor of the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry (Wiley). He is a much sought-after teacher and a worldwide lecturer in aesthetic/cosmetic restorative dentistry and implant dentistry.

Prof Neil Meredith

Neil Meredith qualified at Guys hospital in 1982. Neil completed an MSc in Conservative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute in London in 1988 and his first PhD atImperial College in 1992. In 1993 he became Consultant, Senior Lecturer in Bristol Dental School and was recognized as a specialist in both Prosthodontics and Restorative dentistry by the General Dental Council. His research interests have focused around biomaterials and biomechanics. In 1992 he invented the use of Resonance Frequency Analysis (RFA) to measure dental implant stability, a technique that has now become the international benchmark known as Osstell. He was awarded his second PhD from the University of Gothenburg for his work in 1996. Neil became Professor of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials at the University of Leeds in 1997. Following his entrepeneurial spirit he invented an implant system, raised venture capital funding and founded a medical device company, Neoss, of which he was CEO from 2000-2011. 2011 has seen a return to academia when Neil joined the University of Queensland as Professor of Dental Implantology and Prosthodontics. He practices clinically as a surgeon and specialist prosthodontist. In 2015 Neil became Head of Dentistry at James Cook University, Cairns, Australia. In 2019 Neil left his university ties to work in specialist practice. He formed the Postgraduate Institute of Dental Surgery in March 2020 which focusses on accredited diploma and certificate programs of excellence in dental implantology. Neil also lectures internationally and is engaged in new technology and product developments

Dr Marcus Dagnelid

Dr. Marcus Dagnelid DDS is a Board Certified Prosthodontist. Originating from Gothenburg in Sweden, the birthplace of dental implants, Dr. Dagnelid literally started in the footsteps of Prof. Per Ingvar Brånemark, and has worked together with several implant companies on product development. He has been an international lecturer for more than 20 years in different topics such as guided surgery, loading concepts, digital implant workflows and practice management. Dr Dagnelid continuously acts as a moderator for dental congresses- and symposiums, and this year will be the 10th year as a moderator for the ISQ Symposium held both during EAO congress and the ITI Global symposium.

Dr Michael Burgess

Dr Burgess is a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon with a special interest in Temporomandibular Joint Surgery and Orthognathic surgery. Based in Brisbane at The Mater Hospital and Queensland Children's Hospital as well as a private practice. Michael completed Dentistry at Sydney University then medical school at Newcastle University and completed his maxillofacial training in Brisbane then completed his specialist fellowship in Melbourne.

Dr. Mahnaz Syed

Dr Mahnaz Syed, Specialist in Periodontics graduated from Guys Dental School in 1992. She completed her clinical attachment in oral surgery and dental extractions at the Royal Free Hospital London. In 2001 she completed specialist training programme in periodontics from the Royal London Dental Hospital with distinction and completed her fellowship and membership to the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Dr Syed worked for 6 years at Queen Mary University London where she was clinical lead in mucogingival surgery. In 2007 Dr Syed moved to Perth Western Australia and in 2010 started her specialist periodontal practice in Subiaco. She focuses her treatment on minimally traumatic extractions, soft and hard tissue augmentation and currently lectures in Periodontics at Curtin university.
